The “Escuela Politécnica Nacional” is one of the oldest and more prestigious universities and research centers in Ecuador. It was founded back in 1869, by an official announcement of President Garcia Moreno. The final aim was to put into service of the Ecuadorian society an institution for technical research and for the formation of engineers and scientists.
